About this template

Executives start the day by opening a calendar, a dashboard and an inbox, then trying to hold all three in their head. This template does that reading for them and hands back one page.

On a schedule you choose, it works out today's window in your time zone, reads the day's events from Google Calendar, reads a block of KPI rows from a Google Sheet, and lets an AI agent search the unread inbox for the few emails that need a decision. A writing step then produces a one-page A4 briefing: three headlines, the schedule with conflicts flagged, the numbers with changes where the sheet allows it, the emails that need the executive, and three suggested first moves.

The page is turned into a PDF and a short email with the headlines and the PDF link goes to the one address you set. The AI only uses what it was given: if a source is empty or fails, the briefing says so instead of filling the gap. Inbox access is read-only and nothing is ever sent to anyone but the recipient.

How it works

  1. A schedule starts it

A weekday schedule fires at 07:00 in the time zone you set. A small code step works out the start and end of today in that zone so the calendar question is exact.

  2. It reads the calendar and the KPI sheet

Google Calendar returns today's events. Google Sheets returns the KPI range you point it at, usually a header row and a few metric rows.

  3. An agent triages the inbox

An AI agent with read-only Gmail access searches the unread mail from the last day and opens only the messages that could need the executive. It returns at most seven, each with why it matters and a next step.

  4. The briefing is written

A writing step produces three headlines and a one-page HTML briefing. It uses only the data above and says so when a source is empty or failed.

  5. The PDF is made and emailed

HTML to PDF creates the A4 file. Gmail then sends the headlines and the PDF link to the one recipient you configured.
